Segway E-Bike HMI

Segway’s E-Bike is the first rideable equipped with a color display, offering two distinct models:
XYBER for an exciting and adventurous experience, and XAFARI for urban users.
To efficiently utilize the small screen, the design was focused on essential information based on user testing. Key stages of information were prioritized, and a user-friendly interface with relatively large UI elements was developed, considering the distance between real users and the display.
To inherit the brand identity, we designed colors and icons suitable for the UI alongside the brand’s primary colors, delivering a brand experience that goes beyond simple information.
• Led the detailed design of key pages such as the speedometer, navigation, and music, as well as secondary page designs.
• The project started in September 2023 and successfully completed product launch by October 2024.

Definition of UI Style

Established a style that inherits the brand identity while aligning with the character of the UI,

ensuring effective information delivery to the user while maintaining the brand's essence.

Detail Page

Structured the design style defined in the mood board along with the necessary information architecture for each element, focusing on effective information delivery.

Changes in background color and basic information depending on the driving mode, along with the display of electronic assist levels tailored to the characteristics of the e-bike.

Navigation

A new feature that displays real-time information to the user, offering two different modes. Dynamic information is displayed based on the situation, ensuring adaptability and efficiency.
